New Companies
in the Plural
After leaving Hewlett-Packard I spent a year at Stanford taking a lot
of graduate electronics courses and generally learning the latest electronics
technology. At the end of these courses I made contact with the two
really smart engineers with whom I had worked at Hewlett-Packard, Pete
Lacy and Duane Dunwoodie. Together we started not a single new company
but a little fleet of new companies centered around the original electronics
company, WILTRON. In addition, there were two development partnerships,
a large land development corporation and then numerous overseas sales
and manufacturing companies. The first electronics company and the later
international sales companies were the most fun to me personally.
